  Hello,
  
  I just joined and I have about 50% of my money on the sidelines right now, and most of the other in an S&P index fund. How should I start transferring my money into the investments that you recommend? I'm assuming all at once would be a bad idea.

  I think you are correct.
  
  I can't tell you what to do as investment advice, since this is an investment newsletter, but if I were in your shoes, I would gradually put part in each month as you are comfortable. As an example, if you have 50% on the sidelines, perhaps 10% of it each month...
