Our Mission
The US Pilot Financial Association exists to help ALL Professional Pilots and their families reach financial independence and security - regardless of the airline you fly for or the union that represents you. As such, USPFA is the first association to reach across all boundries to all professional pilots.
We accomplish our mission by providing leadership, confidence and new capabilities to our members.
• We strive to be an objective source for information, tools, checklists, downloads and articles to help you:
-
Reach financial independence and security sooner, despite turmoil in the industry
-
Eliminate potential dangers that threaten your financial security
-
Give you strategies to capture your best opportunities
-
Leverage your strengths and abilities to reach your financial goals
• We are an independent association, not a union.
There is a difference.
Union - an organization of employees that furthers their mutual interests by collectively bargaining with their employer with respect to wages, benefits, hours, health and safety, and other workplace issues. Absolutely important to every professional pilot and USPFA strongly supports the necessity of bargaining together.
Association - a group of individuals, having common interests, who voluntarily join together to accomplish a purpose or mission.
This is all about what you do to maximize the benefits and salary you receive, once they are yours. It is all about flying to benefit you and your family, instead of just an employer. In short, it is about you.
Joining USPFA is something you do for you and for your family.
• The US Pilot Financial Association is a private association - limited to only professional pilots and their families and not the general public. We routinely check the FAA database of licensed commercial pilots against our list of members to ensure we remain a community of professional pilots.
• History of the USPFA... In early 2007, a survey of Professional Pilots was taken that generated 5,000+ individual responses. The overwhelming majority thought that a financial association, dedicated to financial independence for pilots, was an excellent idea. Here is a graphic view of the response...
